And it's not just about the weather. Radecic, a former Bills linebacker, understands the impact of Buffalo's climate on the game. He explains, "They wanted something intimidating yet intimate."
A Loud and Proud Home
About 65% of the 60,000 seats are covered by a 360-degree canopy, bringing fans closer to the action. Every detail is designed to amplify the noise, with the canopy reflecting cheers and chants onto the field. Radecic reveals, "They wanted one of the loudest, if not the loudest, stadium in the NFL." And true to that vision, the new stadium boasts more subwoofers than any other in the country!
But here's where it gets controversial... The grass on the field in January is real! Special lights and the world's largest snow melt system keep the grass growing, allowing just enough snow to create some wintery chaos.
John Polka, Vice President of Stadium Development, says, "This stadium was designed to enjoy football and Buffalo Bills football."

The construction cost of over $2 billion is a significant investment, with almost half of that coming from taxpayers. Polka believes it's a worthwhile endeavor, stating, "Those dollars are going to go somewhere in the state." A Superfan's Perspective
Joanie Podkowinski DeKoker, known as "Mama J," a superfan who's attended every game since 2010, shares her excitement. She says, "It's fantastic. I feel the same way today as I did in 1973 when I walked into the other stadium."
Del Reid, who helped spark the "Bills Mafia" movement, sees the new stadium as a symbol of Buffalo's resurgence. He believes it will keep the team and community thriving for years to come, challenging the narrative that Buffalo is just an old steel city on its way out.
